“Surfing Through FCAT”.
Greetings! It is now “officially” FCAT time! WOO! WOO!
Our Kindergarten through second grade classes are designing Surf Boards to decorate their classroom doors in support of our students who will be surfing through the FCAT assessments. Additionally, our 3rd – 5th grade classes will be assigned a “partner” class who will cheer them on, providing support in the way of letters, cards, songs, and Maritime cheers!! Good Luck to all our outstanding faculty and students as they continue to work hard in preparation for FCAT!!
Please visit our website for the 2014 FCAT schedule
We had over 50 families arrive on campus for our Kindergarten RoundUP!! As we welcome our new students to our Maritime Family we are excited to see so many smiling faces as they begin their education journey here at PBMA!! We look forward to working with your children as they grow academically and physically!!
SCHOOL BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 8:15
A BIG THANK YOU to the families arriving to school on time… WAY TO GO PARENTS!!
As the CONSTRUCTION continues on Lantana Road, please allow extra time in the morning for your child to arrive to school on time to ensure they do not miss any academics. Tardiness will impact grades and students may receive referrals for s tardies, so please have your child here on time. Also breakfast begins at 7:45 and we stop serving at 8:10 to enable all students to get to class on time!! Please make sure your child arrives on time to ensure they receive breakfast.

At Palm Beach Maritime Academy, we believe that the way people dress affects the way that they behave. Please make sure your child comes to school each day dressed according to PBMA dress code.

Lantana 2 News:
On Thursday, new members of our middle school were inducted into the National Junior Art Honor Society. Congratulations! These students will be featured on our video this week! NJAHS is a national organization for middle school students which strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service bringing art education to the attention of the school and community. We would like to thank Ms. Mejeur for leading our NJAHS members this year and our current members for all their hard work and dedication.
FCAT testing begins on April 14th. Next week all students who will take an FCAT or EOC on the computer will have the opportunity to participate in a practice run, called ePAT. During this time, students will be introduced to the test format and tools available to them when taking their computer based test. Also, on the day of their ePAT, students will be given a web address where they can access more practice at home. Please make sure your child is present on the day he/she is scheduled to take the ePAT as there is only a short window available for makeups.
Have a great weekend!!
